Sports Legends at Camden Yards
This latest addition to Baltimore is a home run!

I checked out the new Sports Legends Museum and if you have not been, run, do not walk to this amazing   tribute to Baltimore and Maryland Sports. Located in historic Camden Station, adjacent to Oriole Park at Camden Yards, this fabulous museum is for all ages.

Step back in time and see for yourself Colts memorabilia including a Johnny Unitas exhibit, complete with his shoes, uniform and family pictures. A chill ran through me as I viewed pictures of Johnny growing up and all the memorabilia from the "good old" days of the Colts. Orioles exhibits  include
uniforms, a hall of fame area, Memorial Stadium mementos and so much more.  See the original Norman Rockwell painting of Brooks Robinson signing an autograph for a child, said to be Rockwell's last painting. A Babe Ruth Exhibit includes many items such as his original contract, a bat that he  once used and film footage of Babe's famous home run that he supposedly "called before he hit it!"

The Kids Discovery Room allows the young and  young at heart to try on actual team uniforms. My son loved the broadcasting area, where you can actually record a  play by play of  football, basketball or baseball on a microphone and then it is played  back! Cool!  Explore the years of Maryland Basketball, horse racing and of  course, the latest addition, Baltimore Ravens memorabilia.
The interactive  displays on lacrosse and soccer will keep the kids entertained, as well.  The entire family will love this exploration into Maryland's sports past  and present.  The facility is also available for private parties and there  is a cafe with catering by Chef's Expressions.
